Hi, I’m Rick Sr., the creator of Pet Supplies Where. I created this website to help pet owners compare supplies and make practical, informed shopping decisions without feeling overwhelmed by all the available choices.

My personal hands-on experience is mainly with tropical fish, which I have kept and bred for many years. For dogs, cats, birds, and small pets, I carefully research product specifications, manufacturer information, safety considerations, and feedback from pet owners. I will never claim that I personally used or tested a product unless that is true.

I’ve kept and bred tropical fish since the early 1970s, which is more than 50 years now, including discus, angelfish, plecos, and German blue rams. For about 13 years, I owned and ran FinTastik Tropical Fish in Antioch, California, where I helped customers with tank setup, fish selection, breeding, feeding, filtration, and water-quality problems. That hands-on background is where my aquarium advice comes from. For other pets, I rely on careful research, and I’ll always tell you which is which.

My goal is to provide clear, honest, and easy-to-understand guides that help you compare pet products based on their features, possible drawbacks, intended uses, and value.
